We are now in a position to discuss the physical situation of the transversal renormalized mass in the general case, in which $j_{0}$ and $v_{0}$ are not necessarily zero. This has to be done separately in each phase of the model, and taking explicitly in consideration whether or not there is a non-zero external source.
